As a co-parent myself, I decided it was high time to put on a workshop for parents who are single/separated/divorced or co-parenting.
Sometimes it can be hard to take time for yourself and especially if you are doing it on your own. Sometimes it can be isolating. Sometimes you just need to do something for you.
This positive afternoon will be all about self-care, empowerment and connection. We will start with a short, relaxing guided meditation, then we will go through a range of simple everyday tools will that help us be our best self and the best parent or co parent that we can be. It's so important to realise that taking care of ourselves benefits the whole family and we will come to understand how empowering it is to accept how strong we are and how far we have come.
I am delighted to have journalist, Liadan Hynes, who will be speaking about the column Things Fall Apart she writes for Image.ie, about putting life back together after separation.
It will also be a chance to meet new people who may be in similar situations and connect with each other through coffee, cake and chats.
Please bring a yoga mat and a notebook and pen.
